Emotional Storm
I have always had a strong interest in film scores, especially the ones containing epic
orchestral music.
While working on this track, I drew some inspiration from soundtracks such as "Willow"
and "Last of the Mohicans". I wanted to write something with the sort of power and
feeling that these types of movie scores convey.
From a technical standpoint, I also wanted to create something with more variation and
thematic material than my earlier attempts. I had hoped to create something that
would be taken a bit more seriously than my previous attempts at writing symphonic music.
A few of the instruments were 'borrowed' from the Amiga version of "Castles", which had
some excellent quality sampled orchestra instruments for the time. A few others were
sampled from my Yamaha PSR-38 keyboard.
