Coma Viritis

Ok, this track took an insanely long time to finish.  It was actually started in 1996/1997 when I was still using OctaMED SoundStudio, but for some reason I kept putting off finishing it.

Anyways, when I wrote this I was feeling inspired by anime (Japanese animation) and perhaps some similar-themed video games such as the Megaman series.  Some of the shows I was watching at the time were "Bubblegum Crisis" and "Dominion Tank Police".  I know there are better shows out there, but I was at the mercy of our local rental store.

The samples are all older 8-bit instruments that I was using at that time, but I decided to leave them in just to preserve the 'old school' sound.  It just wouldn't be the same with newer, cleaner samples.  ;)

Special thanks to my friend Andreas (DarkStar.) for helping me decide on the title.  This was a more difficult task than tracking the thing, but fortunately took less time.  The words are Latin, and I think they mean "green hair", but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong!

The reference to green hair is not just because of the strange colouring of anime characters, but also because Colin (Magius/WesTower) used to tease me about being attracted to green-haired women because I liked anime.
